PJC seeks to educate state government officials about the issues and concerns that Jewish Federations and their constituents experience when delivering services in their local communities. PJC also assists local Jewish communities in their public policy advocacy, recruits and trains volunteer advocates and works with other faith based organizations and nonsectarian issue based groups to further advance shared public policy positions.

Education Improvement Tax Credit -- CALL TO ACTION
Under these trying economic times, the Pennsylvania Legislature is considering reducing the opportunities for the children and businesses who utilize the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. As our elected officials examine the need to resolve the current budget deficit, there is talk about reducing the EITC credit ceiling from $75 million to $30 million (a reduction of $35 million). We need to restore funding for this program Schools, businesses and interest groups from around the Commonwealth are rallying against this reduction – a reduction from a successful program – a program that works in Pennsylvania. PJC Supports Terror-Free Investing to Oppose Genocide and Terrorism -- CALL TO ACTION
CALL TO ACTION -- The Pennsylvania Jewish Coalition (PJC) supports terror free investing requiring state funds to divest from companies directly investing and operating $20 million or more in the oil, energy, and military sectors in Iran and Sudan. Call your elected officials in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and ask for their support for HB 1821 (terror-free investing legislation) soon to be considered before the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
