The mission of the PJC is to educate, communicate and advocate with state governmental policy makers in order to enable local Jewish communities
to flourish and to provide services, on a nonsectarian basis, to individuals in need. PJC monitors governmental policy developments, such as pending
legislation and programmatic changes in the administration of social service programs; promotes adequate governmental funding of programs and projects
that help maintain and support the quality of life of all citizens; assists local Jewish communities recruit and train volunteer public policy advocates
and works with other organizations that share similar public policy goals and concerns. PJC is a nonprofit organization with a governing board consisting
of representative members of the 10 Jewish Federations in Pennsylvania.
